Children Need to Learn The Meaning Of Respect
If I had spoken to my parents the way some children do now, I wouldn't be here to share this status!
Some children need to learn the meaning of respect.

Boy oh boy, If I even crossed my parents when younger, I lost out on either a meal, a trip planned with the family, loss of all fun in my life, never ending chores....I guess looking back, I felt like living in a boot camp, yet, I'm in in control of my life, so take the good with the bad !
Parents are the ones who need to teach their kids respect for people and for other peoples property. Parents need to be parents instead of trying to be friends with their Kids. They can be friends with their kids when their kids become adults. My parents Taught me to respect people and their property. They were my parents not my friend. that is what I taught my children also. Don't blame the kids for not respecting people or peoples property if their parents didn't teach them respect. BLAME THEIR PARENTS.
So true my parents didn't beat us too much we realized if we acted up or showed disrespect we had to go get a big switch off the tree or get the belt. I swear they could hear us if we whispered so we learned at an early age and all of us grew up to be great people Thanks to our Parents.
That is very true. Parents may do to the best of their ability. Their children will do as they wish. And, yes, my parents taught me to respect everyone.
You cannot compare the before and now! Has something to do with technology... but i believe we as parents, should always be in control when it comes to our children. I raised my girls to be God-fearing! Talked to them about everything... telling them my younger years... and let them realized how lucky they were for having at least good family! But most of all "Reaching out to them" cause their thoughts are not the same as ours... meeting half-way! As long as there is communication... i guess that's the key! Don't be a "scary" mom or dad!.try to be the "bestfriend" that they can always call on!
You can be a parent and a best friend to ur kids, the parent part teaches them respect, consideration, thoughtfulness, routines etc but the best friend part is the part that sits and talks with them about everything and builds a good relationship from an early age so that no matter what the situation ur child knows that they can come an tell you not go to someone else and maybe end up being in serious danger and you have no clue whats been going on, I am a single mum so i am both good cop bad cop but my kids talk to me about everything we have solid routines in place an respect and from time to time they try an push the boundaries an thats when the parent part steps in but once the daily chores and essentials ie school and homework is done then we have fun and talk and laugh and bond, but most parents these days are scared to discipline their kids or even try an teach them respect or right from wrong coz the things that we went through as kids that done us no harm at all and made up the people we are today gets classed as abuse
Kids today are starting at a young age being out of control. It is the way they are being raised. The parents today are giving them whatever they want. The kids have cell phones,tv in their bedrooms,& a lot of other stuff they should not have. When a parent says no they should stick to it & not give in cause the kid keeps bugging them. That is the problem right there. The kids cry about it so the parents give in so they don't have to hear them cry. I would have told the child if I have to hear you cry I will give you something to cry for. This is how a child should be raised. I raised mine the right way. When I said no I stuck to it. The only thing they should have to ride on is a bicycle & be happy they have that. I had one & mine even had a basket on the front to put stuff in. I loved my bike.

That is true: All the parents should be Parents and teach your child RESPECT,CONSIDERATION and thoughtfulness.
Think before you act and speak. Because Once you say or do. You can't take it back!!!
You will ALWAYS be the PARENT. Not a FRIEND.

from my point of view some parents have taught their kids to be respectful but some kids just want to do what they want to do
