An athlete for most of my life, (a National Karate Champ. and a career as a police officer) it wasn't until I became disabled that I discovered who I really came into this life to be. I became a Buddhist (SGI-USA.org), an artist and a writer (A Journey Within; A Child's Memoir). My life before Multiple Sclerosis was my opportunity to pick up the 'seeds' of insight and experiences and I collected many. It was my disability that allowed me to plant and tend the gifts that grew from them. I have had the rare opportunity of seeing life from both sides and I am better for it, and very grateful.

I love this quote so many judgemental people out there that have no feelings for anybody with a disability of any kind.
