sometimes they understand that they can't dream any more...may be they are fed up with fighting all the time with lives around...just to make you possible with god...without being selfish...
Sad but very true! I had a bestfriend for 20 years we were so close we called each other sisters. Then she just stopped calling emailing its like i dont mean anything to her like our friendship never existed! Sad thing is i still love her and miss her!
I found how a person treats you often depends on whether or not they want something from you. They're nice to you when they can profit from it, but once they get what they want they treat you like dirt - until they want something else from you.
I supported a friend for 6 years, I cared when nobody else did and I was very happy to be her support and share life with her. I thought as the friendship grew we would always be there for each other ~ still find it hard to understand. Life is so different these days, relationships seem to mean so little.
I agree with the comment earlier-- "I found how a person treats you often depends on whether or not they want something from you. They're nice to you when they can profit from it, but once they get what they want they treat you like dirt - until they want something else from you." I feel like it is an ultimate betrayal when a grown child not only treats their parent like dirt but acts as if they don't exist. They can smile and greet everyone in the room but will walk by and ignore their parent as if they are not there. That is, until they want something.
I thought I had a sista friend..we knew each other since we were 3 years old..went to elementary. .jr high n highschool..proms..parties ..boyfriends..weddings..shared a lot of life together. .I introduced her to her husband..they're married j have child..sadly since then..she started writing me off..as if I meant nothing to her..putting new friends ahead of me..not inviting me to her functions or including me n her life..especially after I got divorced. ..I had to accept she was never really sincere or a true loving sista friend..it still hurts..but I keep her n my prayers..we are all imperfect.
You are so on target with this comment..it's like you are the fly on the wall in my life... yes, I am that parent... yet I pray for that grown child that this child will find peace in life ... medical problems, life problems, choices this child has made I believe has caused quite a bit of guilt with self and family members especially siblings and peers. It is hard for me to see this child build the walls to keep all out, but only this child can change, and I pray that this will change. Still hopeful but I am deeply hurt by these actions. My heart never ached so bad.
There are "friends" who you give your heart, soul and your very last dime to, then one day they toss you out like a worthless piece of nothing and they still expect you to be there for them, that's the day you decide you have to walk away and learn from it. You can still pray for that "friend" and hopefully they will see what they lost!
And then there is my best friend. When she became my best friend 38 years ago, she told me she would always be there. I have tried to drive her away sometimes. I have gone totally nuts on her. And she is still there. Nothing I say or do drives her away. The difference is God. She totally lives and breathes the love of God. There are no conditions to her love. I am the most blessed person in the world because of her unconditional love.
If u love something(some0ne) set free, if it comes back to u, it was urs, if it does not come back, it was never meant to be.... even ur own family members u have to let go sometimes..
I find it amazing that there is always someone having to write garbage just to vent and make themselves feel better. So many verbal big mouths, you should get on your knees rather than waste your time venting and spewing to everyone else.
if shes nt contacting u, u shud try to contact her... n ask 4 d reason 4 d change.... at least u will nt regret dat u havnt tried to keep ur friendshp...... i wish dat u find ur old friend back....
I agree with Anonymous-Aug.22,2013, I,too am a parent of 3 grown sons who totally shut me out of their lives. One, the youngest, works where I do. Walks by me everyday and actually turns his head so I see the back of his and ignores me. Hides his face so he doesn't have to look at me when he is walking directly towards me. What kind of problem he has is all his. He must be ashamed of himself for his actions. I was always here for all my children. Even went out of my way to help them anytime they needed my help.My time, love and money mean so little now to them. One day I hope they realize how much my heart aches for their abuse of me. To literally cut me from their lives and my grandchildren's lives hurts me to the core of my existence.
This describes 2 of my sisters. Both alcoholics, they've done and said some despicable things and then dumped the family...... until they want something.

This is called "Life"... so sad that it go's bothways.
its the biggest mistake you do to yourself,is when you satisfied others.
