Please And Thank You - Magic Words

Please and thank you are still magic words.

I just wish some people would use them more often.

Manners cost nothing and are priceless.

I was brought up always say 'Please' and 'Thank you'; I did the same with my two children. When my youngest, now 31, was about 3-4years old we were out shopping. As I always did I had bought sweets but placed them in my bag. My son and daughter always had to ask for things politely, without thinking my daughter said 'mummy, please may I have sweetie' I gave her one and straight away she said 'Thank you'.
I never gave it a second thought but an older couple had been stood behind us, listening. The lady straight away announced 'What a lovely little girl saying please and thank you to her mummy'. I at the time thought how strange, everyone does it. I realise now they don't, my children have their children and they are taught the same.
It costs nothing other than a full heart and showing you have respect for your fellow man x

Yes I agree, I was brought up to be polite to everyone and I also thought it was a normal thing n that everyone was as polite but after I switched from a catholic school in 7th grade to a public school I was completely wrong n I always stood out because I was polite!!! Please let's go back to teaching our kids how to treat each other with kindness and to be polite again!!!!
