The differences between margarine and butter - YOU NEED TO READ THIS.

This is interesting . .. .

Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.

It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow colouring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavourings....

DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to 5 grams for margarine.

Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and only because they are added!

Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavours of other foods.

Butter has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years .

And now, for Margarine..

Very High in Trans fatty acids.

Triples risk of coronary heart disease ...

Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five times..

Lowers quality of breast milk

Decreases immune response.

Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT.

These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

Open a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow.

Why? Because it is nearly plastic . Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to butter them up')!

Chinese Proverb:
When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others.

Pass the BUTTER PLEASE

BTW Water is ONE MOLECULE away from Hydrogen peroxide and
shares an ingredient with the H-bomb, you know the type North Korea has
Another note Flaxseed oil, sold in Health food stores as one of the healthiest oil can also be purchased at Hardware stores as paint thinner and is a ingredient in paint

Not a single citation, and this comment will be deleted - if it is you're a silly cunt and I'd smash your face in

You need to validate you declarations and give evidence of what you are putting out as facts.
BETTER way - show the processes needed to create Margarine which are complicated. Then the process to create butter.

I remember the little yellow packets that had to be 'worked into' the margarine. Margarine was not allowed to be sold in Wisconsin but it took off since it was so inexpensive. Birds will not eat margarine. we tried to make seed feeders using margarine to coat the cups and they would not eat it. covered the cups with real peanut butter or butter and no problem. it is nearly as expensive as butter now but not nearly as good. it is said...'if you cannot pronounce the ingredients...DO NOT EAT IT'

Just plain common sense: butter, simple ingrediants; milk fat and salt||margarine, complicated ingredients with added chemicals. Here are some sources: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Butter, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margarine, https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/butter-vs-margarine/faq-20058152. Although 99% of our food is processed, I try to consume the least processed or natural foods. Good rule of thumb for a healthier life.

One half of my family/Grandparents consumed butter because they were dairy farmers and the other half used margarine. They were merchants. While many other factors may have contributed to their life span, the unscientific result is that the margarine eaters out lived the butter eaters. This in and of itself proves nothing and ads little to the debate. But,it does help to debunk the notion that margarine will kill you prematurely.

I don't like the taste of butter, but I do like the taste of margarine. I've ate it all my life and that's 66 years. Sounds to me like a crock.....

How many other foods are one molecule away from being "something else ?" Did you know that they deliberately put TSP in cereal ? I honestly think this article is nothing more tha fear mongering at it's worst !!

Wow! Such hatred.....saying a prayer for you...

Why the anger !! It's well known butter is natural Marg is processed trans fats it's horrible .

I've been told that margarine doesn't melt at body temperature. If I needed a reason to choose butter, I believe that would be enough. Fortunately, I don't need a reason, butter wins, no contest.

May be they have a margarine manufacturing business LOLs.
