Family Is Not Always About Blood

Family is not always about blood.

Sometimes it's about who is there to hold your hand
and support you when you need them.

This is true! I have people who are dearer to me than blood! They say bloods thicker than water that may be so but it has no reflection on family being there for you more or less! Its just a statement as far as I'm concerned!

Being there is a two way street, you have be willing to give, it is not always about YOURSELF. The number one reason familial and other relationships fail is because people are selfish, everything else is just symptomatic...people demand from others what they are unwilling themselves to give. Further, pride is a huge obstacle, for example, those of us evolved enough to have awareness that we are selfish may admit it while our "blood" insist they do no wrong.

I think if you truly love someone, it really doesn't matter if they are "blood kin" or not. People do it everyday when they adopt children. Family is about love..NOT BLOOD!!!

I agree, I adopted my daughter, and love her as if I had carried her and delivered her myself. She has nothing to do with me right now due to some wild accusations and wrong beliefs. I also love both my sons I carried, even though one of them does not have anything to do with me at this time.
