A Point In Your Life

There comes a point in your life when you get
tired of chasing everyone and trying to fix
everything, but it's not giving up.
It's finally realising that you just don't need certain
people in your life, and the drama they bring!

How true. After the last of your parents to pass away, you want to hold on to some semblance of family tradition, whether it's getting together for holidays, birthdays, or whatever. It's only after hearing the same excuses from the same people year after year, holiday after holiday, as to why they can't make it that you begin to realize that those people just went through the motions with the family but never wanted to be a part of the tradition to begin with -- so you form new traditions with the family members who WANT to move ahead with new traditions.

I am going through something like this and it recently happened last night. This is incredible. Thank you for posting this because I just finally opened my eyes.
