How much money you Make. It irritates me even if I make more than the person bragging because I know there is someone in the group that may not make as much.
ReplyDeletePolitics. This last election cost me friends and family members. Even though I refused to discus who I voted for the other party would assume it was for who they did not want. Sad.
I also believe when seeking any type of advise. This, in my opinion, is most important. The issues that have been mentioned should only be discussed with your most trusted family member, i.e. a spouse a parent or a sibling. I also believe advise is correct only when given by someone who has real life experience on the issue. And i have a degree in psychology but dont believe in therapy!!! Unless given by a person who has walked the same path with no alterior motive. Especially not payment!

As for the others, if you never talk to anybody about things that are really important to you, what can you talk about?

I agree with #5 with a large asterisk. I think you're strictly talking about minor adult problems and that's OK...but kids and teens living in a home with domestic violence, sexual assault, or abuse of any kind are taught from a very young age "not to talk." This can be very dangerous. Too many grow up to be maladjusted adults who continue in many cases to "keep the family secrets."
