This is how I feel about my immediate family. For years, I would ignore them for a while, and then feel guilty about it and involve myself with them again. I always, always regretted it. Now I have been free of them for nearly eight years and I am happier than ever. Sometimes people say, "But they're your family!" And now I just reply, "Yes, I know. I have been given this lesson countless times. I finally learned it."
I feel the same way about my inlaws. They are horrible inbreeds. (Yes the family all sleep and lust after each other) Back and forth until they cursed me out for voicing an opinion.
