Getting Yourself Back On Track

When we suffer a loss, a break-up, a painful change in our lives, we need to remember to take all the time we need to heal emotionally. Moving forwards and getting back on track with our lives doesn't take a day. It takes a lot of small steps to allow us to break free from our broken self and move on.

  1. Oh yes, I suffered a loss last year, and it does take time, so I'm just taking one step at a time. This person was the love of my life they were a part of me and I to them and it was so hard in the beginning I felt like a part of me had died right along with them, like I said I'm taking one day at a time this was a special person to me. I remember the day when we first met, we were attracted to each other that day

  2. They say it gets better with time, Well 13 years after losing my 19 year old daughter. It doesn"t get any eazier, You just learn to deal with it better. I was blessed with a support group that really has stood behind me even now. Don't be afraid to remember and talk to who ever will listen that helps me still. My baby girl was murdered and there is no closure. Some time remembering is all there is.....

  10. I lost the love of my life Jan 31, 2013, suddenly to unknown causes, and it only gets worse with time, so far. I guess eventually the pain I feel will subside, but right now, it eats away at my very soul. I have never felt so lost. I go through the motions of life because I have others who depend on me and a job but there are days that as much as I hate to say this none of that matters and I just want to stay in bed and shut the rest of the world out...You never know how much love you have for someone until they are gone. I can't imagine ever loving anyone that way again.

    1. I feel just the same, as if I am two people. The one who goes to work and functions, doing the everyday tasks and then the other who locks the door, gives in to the heartbreaking sorrow and hurt and cry. Like you I have no answer as to why my husband and love of 38 yrs was taken, much too soon in Sept 2012. Keep tallking to good friends and family, they have been the glue that holds me together and remember always, you are not alone. x
